what is CV and how to write CV

what is cv:

A curriculum vitae(CV) is a written overview of a person's experience and other qualifications.
Curriculum vitae is a Latin expression which can be loosely translated as [the] course of [my] life.

why we write cv:

cv is  tailored for the specific job/company you are applying to
it Should represent you as the best qualified candidate
is used to get you an interview
Do not usually include personal interests

CV Types:
Chronological : State all of your experiences and degree's detail from very recent and go back.
Functionl : When you are totally focused on relevent experience specialy for relevent job.

CV Styles:

Which CV style to choose

The CV style you use depends on the job you are applying for and your circumstances and work history.
You can choose to emphasise either your work history (work-focused) or your skills (skills-focused).
This website considers these two CV styles, although you can use a combination of the two or other approaches.

1.Work-focused CV
2.Skills-focused CV.

o.Skills-focused CV:-

The skills-focused CV places emphasis on your skills by developing what you say about them and having the skills section at the front of your CV. The work history information in your CV can be kept to a minimum.

If you have no work experience, you can leave the work history section out altogether, but make sure you give evidence of how your skills were developed.

Use a skills-focused CV if:

you want to place emphasis on your skills over your work history
you are applying for your first job or only have limited employment history
you are re-entering the job market after a long absence.
Skills gained outside the workforce - find out more
Example

o.Work-focused CV:-

A work-focused CV puts emphasis on your work history by having it at the front of your CV.
If you choose a work-focused CV, you may decide to keep the information you include in the
skills section to a minimum.

Use a work-focused CV if:

you want to emphasise your work history over your skills
you want to emphasise your career progression.

Don't use one if:

you are entering the job market for the first time
you are entering the job market after a long absence.

CV Types according to job type:

To apply for a job within the same field.

You like what you do, but you want to do it somewhere else! Make sure your CV highlights your achievements.
Writing a CV is easy, but writing a good CV isn't! Achievements can show the employer
that you are able to meet objectives, something all employers are looking for.

To apply for a job within a different field.

So the time has come for a career overhaul.
You have thought hard and decided that you do not want to pursue a career in the current direction.
Write a CV that highlights any experience or qualifications in this new area.
You would also need a reason in your CV outlining why you want to make a career change.

To summarize your life achievements.

Having a full CV is always a good idea as you never know when a good opportunity will come up.
Keep your CV updated at all times, adding any relevant courses or qualifications.
This way, when you find yourself applying for a job in three months time your CV
will already be written and remembering all your courses/experiences/projects will not be an issue.
If you then apply for a different position, all you will need to do is edit your CV to suit the particular post.

To apply for a particular job vacancy.

Address all of the job requirements in your CV. If you do not have any formal qualifications that cover  the job requirements, try to make up for it by showing your experience. Make sure you carefully
read the advertisement and follow all instructions. A CV is an essential tool in your job search and career.
